Director of Sales

SALES ACTIVITIES & GUEST SERVICE

  • Coordination of the hotel’s sales activities with the aim of optimal room occupancy and high accommodation and F&B sales and other revenues.
  • Development, design and calculation of attractive offers for individual guests, travel agents and companies.
  • Implements sales promotion actions in-house, locally, regionally and supra-regionally.
  • Planning, coordination and implementing of all sales trips in the country by agreement with the General Manager.
  • Represents the hotel at national and international specialist trade fairs and workshops, agreed by the General Manager and in coordination with the whole Revenue Department.
  • Well versed in online sales platforms such as international booking engines, OTAs, Trip advisor
  • Well verse in social media platforms such as Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Regular visits and agreements with large and prestigious guests, identification of potential new accounts and assuring the corresponding sales activities to win these guests.
  • Organisation and management of promotions, site inspections and famtrips.

KNOWLEDGE OF THE MARKET

  • Ensures permanent observation of the market and competitors, involvement in drawing up analyses of competitors and statistics.
  • Planning, organisation of written, telephone and personal contacts with guests and supervision of these contacts
  • New acquisition of guests in all segments
  • Organise comprehensive information to existing and potential guests regarding the product range offered by the hotel, with the aid of the relevant sales resources and sales channels
  • Preparation and drawing up of company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and price conditions
  • Monitoring the offers, options and cancellations for repeat bookings for groups, conventions, and seminars in customer care and acquisition for The Residence, also include cross selling for all The Residence Hotel world-wide and market this correspondingly.

PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE

  • Be able to give correct information to fellow Team Members and/or to guests regarding the hotel and/or The Residence Hotel.

SYSTEM KNOWLEDGE

  • Know all the functions of the computer system and eliminate minor errors in the software itself.

PEOPLE MANAGEMENT

  • Conduct job interviews, appointment, Team Member training, assessment of performance, induction training, and consultation, if necessary, dismissals, in order to guarantee appropriate occupation of posts and productivity.
  • If necessary carries out disciplinary measures in respect of the Team Members under his/her supervision, with the aim of assuring good performance and satisfaction of Team Members.
  • Joint responsibility for maintaining standards, revise these regularly and guarantee that these are upheld by targeted training.
  • Joint responsibility for updating the Sales Service Manuals, based on all work sequences.

FINANCE

  • Involvement in drawing up the Marketing / Business Plans and the budget of the Hotel.
  • Involvement in drawing up the sales activities plan for the Hotel.
  • Well versed in excel and finance and be able to make financially driven sales and PR decision.

General Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Hotel General Manager is responsible for achieving optimal guest satisfaction and a good working environment to attain all set objectives. To achieve this, the Hotel General Manager should run the hotel in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and Policies as set out by the company.

The Hotel General Manager shall see to the implementation of optimal and attractive products and services required to address the hotel’s target groups, based on pre-agreed marketing plans and budgets. The Hotel General Manager shall ensure the correct production and distribution of information and promotion materials as agreed to.

Guard the efficiency/productivity and the company results:

  • Draw up plans and budget concepts (revenues, costs, etc.);

  • Safeguard the realization, tracing and adjustment of deviations;

  • Developing improvement actions, carry out costs savings;

  • Guard/ controlling of cost price

  • Delivering of data and proposals for the budgets and investments.

  • Safeguard quality of operations (internal & external audits)

    Manage the various Department Heads

  • Coordinate planning of Department Heads and Assistant Managers with regard to time-tables, work schedules, employment of employees within the different services; solving of bottle necks;

  • Coordination of the execution of activities via instructions to the Heads of Departments/ Assistant Managers, supervision of the execution;

  • Determination of the workforce, recruitment and hiring of new staff, supervision of sufficient introduction, execution of performance reviews and training of staff.

  • Be accountable for responsibilities of department heads in their absence.

  • Implement the SOPs optimally in the hotel and act as a flag ship establishment for the brand.

  • Prepare a monthly financial reporting.

  • Ensure an adequate administration, for the outgoing and incoming invoices, for the payment of invoices and for drawing up periodical management data. Justify deviations and differences.

    Other tasks:

  • Handling complaints, in the last resort.

  • Other reliable to the above mentioned, tasks in order of the executive;

  • Handing over opinions and beliefs, decisions etc. to the executives;

  • Leading various internal and external meetings;

  • Supervise the fulfillment of the regulations of the employment legalization, Occupational Health & Safety Act, fire regulations and other legal requirements

  • Correct use of Company's corporate identity.

  • Maintain contacts with public authorities

Resident Manager

Resident Manager Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the General Manager to run the hotel

  • Financial matters of the hotel including budget forecasting and control and training staff to correctly deal with the financial side of customer service

  • Setting a good example of service excellence to those under his authority

  • Training staff to meet service standard requirements

  • Preparing and carrying out detailed marketing and sales plans

  • Dealing with potential security problems and safety hazards

  • Resolving on-site issues at the hotel (relating to guests, employees or the property) among many other duties.

Financial Contoller

  • Directs and organizes the activities of the Resort Accounting Department to maintain high standards consistent with the goals of the Company.

  • Plan and direct the functions of administration and planning of the Resort Accounting Department to meet the daily needs of the operation.

  • Prepare the monthly financial statements in accordance with Company policy where appropriate and to comply with local Law and Regulations.

  • Implement effective control of all costs food, beverage, labor, supplies, equipment, etc., among all Resort Sub-Departments.

  • Ensure proper use, maintenance, repair and storage of Accounting supplies, equipment and facilities.

  • Ensure proper stock levels are maintained.

  • Assist all Managers in establishing and achieving predetermined profit objectives and desired standards of quality, service, safety, cleanliness, merchandising and promotion.

  • Develop with the aid of the various Managers, the operating tools necessary and incidental to modern management principles, budgeting, forecasting, purchase specifications, recipes, portion specifications, menu abstracts, food production control, report preparation and presentation, etc.
